The Starburst

sunlight path trail
Light the way

I came across some of the last few bits of greenery on my way to a local fishing spot. I happened look up and notice the sunlight beaming through the trees. It was almost like a sign letting me know that we were going to get some great catches!

We didn’t… small sunfish were fed well that day.

I waited a few seconds for the light breeze to stop so I could get definition in the leaves. I also narrowed the aperture to get the “starburst” effect for an added bonus.   I was also happy that there was no need to bracket the exposure like most of the inner wood scenes I photograph. The position of the sun made for nice lighting and focus.

The next  time you walk down a trail/path, look up and take in the beauty around you!
